Additional Information
VALUE & RECOGNITION OF THE PROGRAM
The value of a NanoTRIZ Research Track is grounded in rigorous, verifiable academic work. NanoTRIZ is an independent private research institute operating from Australia and led by researchers with backgrounds across major international institutions. Our programs are designed to validate actual capability — not mere attendance — through structured project work, documented outputs, and clear standards for research integrity, evidence use, and scientific communication.
A NanoTRIZ certificate, evaluation, or reference letter therefore reflects demonstrated performance within a mentored research environment. The emphasis is placed on the quality of the participant’s work: the clarity of the research question, the strength of the literature analysis, the structure of the argument, the transparency of the workflow, and the seriousness of engagement.
KEY BENEFITS FOR PARTICIPANTS
Internal Program Designation
Upon acceptance, participants may use an appropriate internal NanoTRIZ designation on their CV or LinkedIn, depending on level and track. For example:
-
Junior Research Scholar — typically for senior high school students and early-stage undergraduates
-
Research Affiliate — typically for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and advanced participants
These are internal program designations, not university academic appointments or government-recognized qualifications.
A Verifiable Portfolio
Participants leave the program with more than a line on a résumé. They build tangible academic artifacts that may include literature maps, structured reviews, draft manuscripts, visual scientific outputs, research notes, or SciViD-based deliverables.
Research Capability Development
Participants develop practical competence in literature analysis, question formulation, structured argument, academic writing, responsible AI use, and reproducible workflow habits.
Signal of Serious Engagement
Participation in a selective, milestone-driven NanoTRIZ track may serve as evidence that the participant has worked within a structured research environment and has produced documented outputs under review and supervision.
IMPACT BY CAREER STAGE
For Senior High School Students
The program helps students move beyond standard schoolwork into more serious academic inquiry. It develops research literacy, analytical discipline, and the ability to produce structured, evidence-based work — qualities that can strengthen applications to selective universities.
For Undergraduate Students
The program helps bridge the gap between textbook learning and real research practice. Participants can build a stronger academic portfolio and distinguish themselves when applying for internships, research opportunities, or graduate programs.
For Master’s and PhD Students
The program provides structured support for topic refinement, literature synthesis, contradiction analysis, and research communication. It may help participants strengthen manuscripts, clarify argumentation, and overcome research bottlenecks through a more systematic workflow.
For Postdocs and Professionals
The program can serve as an additional platform for structured collaboration, AI-assisted workflow development, and output-focused research activity. It may help advanced participants broaden their portfolio, strengthen independent work habits, and document project leadership or interdisciplinary engagement.

VENTURE FELLOW TRACK
Technical Co-Builder Stream
Designed for: technical architects, full-stack engineers, AI prototypers, and research software builders who want to co-create NanoTRIZ’s internal tools, scientific workflow systems, and deep-tech software infrastructure.
This is a high-intensity Builder track for applicants who want to work at the intersection of AI, research systems, and product incubation.
Admission
Admission is highly selective. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong technical execution through a verifiable portfolio, such as:
-
software engineering projects
-
AI or data workflow systems
-
research tooling or automation
-
rapid prototyping experience
-
GitHub repositories, technical write-ups, or product demos
The Model: Venture Studio Incubation
Unlike the standard research tracks, the Venture Fellow Track operates on a co-creation model.
NanoTRIZ waives all standard program and infrastructure fees for selected Venture Fellows. In exchange, Fellows contribute technical execution within a structured non-employment collaboration environment.
NanoTRIZ provides:
-
domain expertise and scientific direction
-
structured problem-solving through TRIZ-based methodology
-
access to mentored design reviews and strategic feedback
-
digital infrastructure, internal workflows, and project environments
-
a pathway toward future technical commercialization where appropriate
This track is designed for builders who are interested not only in writing code, but in helping turn scientific and technical concepts into viable deep-tech products.
Intellectual Property and Commercialization Logic
The Venture Fellow Track is built with commercialization in mind. For a project to be investable, spin-out ready, or suitable for external partners, a clear chain of title over project IP is essential.
For that reason, Project IP created within the scope of the Venture Fellow Track and using Institute resources is assigned to NanoTRIZ upon creation, subject to the applicable program terms and any separate written agreements.
At the same time, the model is designed to ensure that this IP structure is linked to a genuine builder pathway, not merely one-sided asset capture.
Important clarification: the Fellow’s pre-existing Background IP remains their own, except where separately licensed or intentionally integrated into the project under agreed terms.
Two Possible Outcomes
Outcome A: Spin-Off and Founder Pathway
If a project demonstrates strong technical and commercial potential, and NanoTRIZ elects to form or support a spin-off entity, the primary Venture Fellow may be given priority consideration for a founding technical leadership role, such as:
-
Founding CTO
-
Technical Co-Founder
-
Founding Engineer
-
Lead Architect
Where appropriate, this may be accompanied by an equity allocation or stock options under a separate founder, shareholder, or commercial agreement, typically subject to standard vesting, cliffs, governance, and performance expectations.
This means that if a Fellow materially helps build a product with real market fit, there is a defined pathway toward meaningful technical leadership and commercial participation.
Outcome B: Internal Research Asset and Portfolio Value
If the project remains an internal NanoTRIZ research or workflow asset rather than being spun out, the Venture Fellow still receives substantial professional value.
Subject to confidentiality and project-specific restrictions, the Fellow may retain portfolio rights to describe or showcase their technical contribution. In addition, where justified by documented contribution and applicable academic or patent standards, the Fellow may be credited through:
-
technical authorship on methodology papers
-
acknowledgment in internal or external technical documentation
-
inventorship or contribution recognition where legally appropriate
-
a detailed reference letter describing their technical role and execution
This ensures that even when a project remains internal, the builder can still derive strong professional and portfolio value from the work.
Why This Track Matters
The Venture Fellow Track is designed for builders who want more than a conventional internship and more than a passive “innovation program.” It offers the chance to work inside a research-driven deep-tech environment where:
-
technical systems are built with real scientific context
-
AI workflows are tied to defensible research problems
-
software contributes to a larger innovation architecture
-
the path from internal tool to commercial product is taken seriously
It is best suited to applicants who want to help build the underlying infrastructure of next-generation research and innovation systems.
Important Boundaries
This track is a non-employment collaboration pathway. It does not provide salary, wages, or guaranteed equity unless separately agreed in writing. It is also not a promise of automatic co-founder status.
Rather, it is a selective venture incubation track in which technical contribution may lead to meaningful authorship, portfolio value, leadership consideration, and, where commercially justified, participation in a spin-off pathway.
PROGRAM ACCESS & PRICING
Research & Industry Pathways
