Program Terms of Use
Last updated: 20.06.2025
Welcome to NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute. By accessing or using our website and online services, including the Co-Authorship Program and SciVid video publishing services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute offers specialized educational and mentorship programs designed to transform participants into ethical, innovative co-authors capable of producing high-quality hybrid video and text scientific publications.
Our flagship Co-Authorship Program focuses on integrating advanced AI tools into each stage of the research and publishing workflow, supporting researchers, students, and early-career academics in building strong, reproducible, and visually engaging scientific outputs.
The program includes the following components:
• Weekly live online mentorship sessions
Participants attend four weekly live sessions each month led by Professor Alexander Solovev, an internationally recognized nanotechnology researcher and academic mentor. These sessions provide real-time feedback on manuscript development, figure design, AI-assisted drafting, and publication strategy. They also include breakout discussions and small group collaborations, fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
• Self-paced tutorial library
In addition to live sessions, participants gain unlimited access to a continuously growing digital library of recorded tutorials. This library covers technical topics such as literature review strategies, research gap identification, manuscript structuring, figure creation, video abstract production, and advanced citation workflows. It supports flexible learning and allows participants to deepen their understanding at their own pace.
• AI tools training for research, drafting, visualization, and citation management
The program offers comprehensive, hands-on training in ethical use of AI tools throughout the research cycle. Participants practice using leading platforms for:
-
Semantic literature discovery and gap mapping (e.g., Elicit, ResearchRabbit, Consensus.app)
-
Automated drafting and outlining (e.g., ChatGPT-4, Claude 3 Opus, Manuscript.AI, PaperWizard)
-
Visual design and figure generation (e.g., BioRender, Mind the Graph, Canva AI)
-
Reference and citation management (e.g., ZoteroBib, SciWheel, Paperpile)
Participants learn to integrate these tools responsibly and transparently, supporting both individual and collaborative scientific writing.
• Guided manuscript co-authorship and publication pathways
Participants work in small research teams to develop manuscripts with step-by-step guidance on outlining, drafting, revising, and preparing for publication. The program specifically prepares participants for potential submission to SciVid and The Journal of Video Science, including detailed orientation on dual-track publication options:
-
Internal Review Track (free): Editorial quality check by the SciVid team before inclusion in the SciVid Digital Library.
-
Peer Review Track (additional fee): Formal peer review process, DOI assignment, indexing, and open-access archiving.
Publication acceptance is not guaranteed and depends on independent editorial evaluation of scientific merit, originality, and adherence to ethical standards.
Additional program features
-
Access to structured weekly assignments and checklists to track progress.
-
Opportunities to create video abstracts and supporting multimedia materials to complement manuscripts.
-
Eligibility for a Certificate of Completion, showcasing skills in ethical AI integration, co-authorship, and scientific communication.
-
Possibility of receiving personalized academic reference letters for outstanding contributions.
Participants of the NanoTRIZ Co-Authorship Program are expected to actively contribute to group discussions, provide constructive peer feedback, and engage ethically throughout the process. The program is designed to simulate real-world collaborative research dynamics, empowering participants to publish impactful, reproducible science while developing cutting-edge technical and communication skills.

3. Intellectual Property
All course materials, video content, diagrams, figures, presentation slides, written guides, and other instructional resources provided by NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute (collectively, “Program Materials”) are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
All Program Materials remain the sole property of NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute and may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, republished, uploaded, or transmitted in any form or by any means without prior written permission from NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute.
Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use Program Materials solely for their own educational and personal development purposes during the term of their subscription or enrollment.
Participants retain copyright and moral rights in their individual contributions to manuscripts, draft documents, figures, and other research outputs they directly create during the program.
However, by participating in the Co-Authorship Program and contributing to any co-authored manuscripts, video abstracts, or collaborative works, participants grant NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute and SciVid a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to:
-
Display, reproduce, host, and distribute such works for educational, promotional, and research dissemination purposes.
-
Feature excerpts or full versions of co-authored works on the NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute website, SciVid Digital Library, academic conferences, promotional materials, and in other public communication channels.
This license is granted to support program visibility, highlight participant achievements, and promote collaborative research and publishing activities.
Participants acknowledge and agree that co-authored manuscripts submitted for publication in SciVid or The Journal of Video Science are also subject to additional editorial and publishing agreements specific to each journal, including independent peer review and open-access licensing terms where applicable.
Any unauthorized commercial use of Program Materials or co-authored works outside these terms may result in termination of program access and possible legal action.
4. Academic Outcomes and Certification
Completion of the Co-Authorship Program offered by NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute does not guarantee acceptance or publication of any manuscripts in SciVid, The Journal of Video Science, or any other academic journal.
All manuscripts and co-authored works developed during the program are subject to independent editorial assessment and/or peer review, based on criteria such as scientific merit, originality, clarity, adherence to ethical publishing standards, and technical quality. Decisions on acceptance, revision, or rejection are made solely by the respective editorial boards and cannot be influenced by program participation alone.
Upon fulfilling the core participation requirements — including active engagement in live sessions, completion of assigned drafts and figures, and submission of final deliverables — participants will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute.
This certificate formally recognizes demonstrated skills in:
-
Ethical AI integration in scientific research
-
Research gap identification and advanced literature analysis
-
