Join NanoTRIZ as a researcher

NanoTRIZ works with established researchers in two roles:

  • Affiliate Researcher: an external, flexible role with a profile on our Team page. You supervise or advise when it suits you, and we develop programs, partnerships and joint grant applications with you.

  • Project collaborator: a role in one defined NanoTRIZ project, with set dates and a written agreement.

Neither role is employment or a university appointment. The form has three short steps; please have your CV (PDF) ready.

Step 1 of 3 · Your role and our conditions

Which role are you applying for?
Affiliate Researcher (external, flexible)
Project collaborator (one defined project)

For project collaborators

  • Agreement. A written agreement with Alexander A. Solovev, sole trader trading as NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute (ABN 60 349 600 938), for the dates of the named project. Roles: Project Scientific Advisor, Project Scientific Lead or Project Delivery Lead; online, alongside your main position.

  • Support. Project coordination, onboarding documents, Digital Lab tools and workflow templates.

  • Payment. Set in the agreement, if any: a fixed fee or a share of program or project revenue, not guaranteed. If you receive a share of participants' fees, they are told in writing, and it must not influence assessment, authorship or progression.

  • Ethics. Work with human participants, identifiable personal data or animals needs approval from an appropriate ethics committee. On request we provide a short factual letter for your employer.

  • Students. You may suggest students for the Research Mentoring Program; they apply and are assessed like everyone else.

Conditions in brief

  • External and flexible. This is not employment, tenure, or a university, adjunct or visiting appointment. There is no salary or fixed workload, and either side can end it in writing.

  • Affiliation (Affiliate Researchers). You may list "NanoTRIZ Innovation Institute, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia" as an additional affiliation, in that exact form, only for work carried out with NanoTRIZ. Tell NanoTRIZ before you submit a publication that lists it.

  • Ethics and integrity. You are fully responsible for any work that names NanoTRIZ: authorship, data, citations, ethics approvals and disclosure of AI use. Misconduct, a retraction or misuse of the affiliation can lead NanoTRIZ to withdraw the affiliation and your profile.

  • Your employer. Your employer's rules on outside work, intellectual property and conflicts of interest still apply. You check them and make any disclosures they require.

  • Opportunities. NanoTRIZ looks for paid programs, partner courses and joint grants. Each is discussed with you first, nothing is agreed in your name, and anything paid or binding needs a separate written agreement.

  • Your profile. It is published after NanoTRIZ reviews it. You can then edit it yourself, or ask for changes or removal at any time.
